Re: DM - Logical Model for Data Object queries
You need to use a data object as the data type of the attribute rather than primitive data object. By associating the data type of the Data_Object_Attribute with a Data Object you get a relationship. Cardinality is set on the attribute

There is another scenario we've come across that can cause this. In this case, when you remove the manage it leaves an orphan. You need to remove this otherwi...

Re: fr-fr translation available
That's fantastic Jean-Marie. Thank you for your contribution, we really appreciate it.
We will look to get this into the next release, plus the team are looking to get a DUP built for those who want it earlier.
Thanks again

Sorry, we never completed a full view catalogue as we ran out of time with other priorities. We tend to do videos now as and when we can. For the views you requested basically it's as below: Business to Application: Business Domain -> Business Capability -> Business Process (look for ‘Supporting App...

Hi, Apologies, that one slipped through. We'll include the file in the next minor release. For now, I've attached it here so you can download it yourself if you wish. Drop it in the 'business' folder of your deployment and overwrite the existing file. Make sure you clear the cache and it should now ...

Hi Prem, We've created a class called Resource Optimisation instead, which is much richer and broader in what it can support regarding both resources and skills. See EA_Class -> EA_Support -> Resource_Optimisation The concrete classes that were beneath Skills Management are still available but under...

Re: Strategic roadmap demo report looks different than the actual report
Hi Prem, Can you try changing the name of the xsl file on the link in your installation by adding a 2 to the end of it. That will tell us whether you have the file or not (it should be there). If it is there then you need to go into the repository and navigate to EA Support > Essential Viewer > Repo...

Re: Create your own Model objects
Hi, If I understand your question correctly then, can you add/delete your own classes and import data against them - yes. That is straightforward, just add the class and the slots to the meta model. We do advise that you don't delete or alter any of the existing meta model, as this can make upgrades...

Hi, We've launched the cloud version to get over the management overhead you can get with open source that you mention here. There is a price but we've set it low so that it covers our costs. However, we estimate that if you consider infrastructure, security, etc plus resource time spent installing ...

Hi Rektor,
It is due to be included in the next release. The team are due to start that in the next two weeks, depending on client work, which takes priority. It will take a few days to get the release together, then push out. So, hopefully by the end of next month.
Regards

Re: Application / Capability modeling
Hi, There are two ways to do this, via the processes or via the application capabilities, but based on what you've said here I'll focus on the application route. To see which apps support which business capabilities, you need to create a relationship from the Bus Capabilities, to App Capabilities to...

Keith, Apologies for the delay. The current flow diagram is quite unforgiving, we're going to release a new one that looks like the one in the demo. We're testing today and will get it uploaded here (hopefully) in the next day or so. That is much less stringent in the way it renders and will help us...

Re: Business Capability Summary View Issue From Parent Bus.
Hi,
Sorry, this is a view bug. It's treating the two parents as a single instance, which is wrong. If you view the two (or more) parent capabilities from the capability catalogue then they appear correctly.
I've logged this in the bug list to fix.

Hi Thomas,
Sorry, that view isn't an out-of-the-box view, you'd need to develop the XSL yourself to render it or engage with our consultancy services to develop it for you.

If you scroll down below the graphical image you'll see a field further down called 'Static Architecture of Application Provider'. Select your App Provider there.

This is an oversight on our part. The 'Application' in the diagram should be Application Family.
When we refer to application across the site we are meaning Application Provider and it's sub-classes
