Hi everyone
I really need some help with getting my essential_viewer.war to deploy, as far as I can tell Tomcat is running, the .war file is in the tomcat/web apps/ folder but refuses to extract the file, so I do not have the essential_viewer folder.
I have tried to re-install the viewer via the EA installer and it seems to download ok, but tomcat refuses to unpack it, can I extract it manually?
thanks
Joseph

Hi,
Glad to hear that you've got Viewer running now.
Could you tell us which version of Java you were using at first and which version you switched to? Viewer version 5 now requires Java 1.7+

Hi there
My Java is 1.8 and I now can hit the http://localhost:8889/essential%5Fviewe ... LABEL=Home
URL successfully, BUT, Protege still gives me an error after rendering the repository,
Checking for access...
Exception encountered during send
Failed to send snapshot to the Report Service :
No response from the Report Service at this URL.
I think this may be a mySQL issue, but I don't know how to correct it.
Any assistance would really be appreciated.
Thanks
Joseph

Hi, thanks for posting back.
We recently fixed an issue with publishing to Tomcat 8 (things changed in Tomcat!)
Could you let me know which version of the publishing tab - Essential Viewer Tab - you are using?
If you go to the Help menu in Protege and choose About Plugins and select the Viewer Tab, you should see the specific version and release date of the Tab you are using.
Thanks
Jonathan
