Essential Architecture Manager can be used in one of 2 modes:

• Stand Alone - on a single notebook or workstation.
• Multi User - with the repository installed and managed on a server, accessed by many users over a network.

The choice of installation mode depends mainly on how many people need to access your architecture model. In either mode, Essential Architecture Manager can be used for any scale of model from particular point solutions to full enterprise models. It is simple to migrate from one mode to the other and many users start in stand-alone mode, moving to a multi-user installation as the user base increases.

Installation Modes

Each installation mode has its own installation guide to keep it clear and simple. Choose the type of installation that you are doing:

	Stand alone mode installation guide. Recommended for your first installation of Essential Architecture Manager. This guide takes you through the process of installing the complete solution on a single notebook or workstation.
	Multi user mode installation guide. Recommended for installations where several users need to work on the Essential Architecture Manager model at the same time. This guide takes you through the process of installing and configuring a client-server, multi-user deployment of Essential Architecture Manager.
